Environment

Waste management, water and air quality, the urban environment - these are just a few of the areas in which the EU and local and regional government have a common interest.

CEMR seeks to influence the EU's wide-ranging environment law-making agenda, and works with the Commission to develop new policies and initiatives.  CEMR is an active member of the European Sustainable Cities and Towns Campaign, and supports the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) to enhance organisations' environmental performance.
