North South Cooperation

More and more European municipalities and regions are involved in overseas development. In most cases, their actions are supported by their national governments.

CEMR's network for North/South local government cooperation seeks to promote the exchange of experience and of best practice between the relevant parties. It also endeavours to highlight the role played by local government and their associations in overseas cooperation policies. Such policies are an important aspect of Europe's action in the world.
