Benjamin R. Barber, political theorist and author of “If mayors ruled the world”, passed away on April 24 at age 77.

CEMR expresses its deepest condolences to his friends and family, and will always remember Mr Barber as someone who brought debates around local government’s place in the world into the spotlight.
