First Cohesion policy forum - Brussels, 23 February 2004
The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR), the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and EUROCITIES are organising a forum on cohesion policy, in Brussels on Tuesday 23 February 2004.
The European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Michel Barnier, will present the 3rd Cohesion report to the delegates.
Other speakers will include :
- Joan Vallvé Ribera, President of the AEBR
- Anders Gustav, Member of the CPMR Political Bureau
- Louis Le Pensec, President of the French section of CEMR
- Wim Deetman, Member of EUROCITIES Executive Committee
- A representative of the Irish Presidency of the European Union
- Vito d'Ambrosio and Michael Schneider, corapporteurs of the Committee of the Regions' opinion on the 3rd Cohesion report
- Jean-Charles Leygues, Director, DG Regio, European Commission
The Forum will be divided in two sessions :
- Policy guidelines of the 3rd Cohesion report, and
- Delivering future regional policy: future cooperation instruments and the urban dimension.
