Bordeaux 2010 will aim at opening up the debate on CEMR's role and that of its member associations in an ever-changing European context. It will also provide a forum for reflection between the different levels of governance in Europe.
Among the topics to be discussed are the place of local and regional authorities in the new European governance and the solutions put forward by local and regional authorities when facing new global challenges.
Some 200 mayors, presidents of regions, European local and regional elected representatives and presidents of national associations representing European local and regional authorities are to participate in this event, hosted by the City of Bordeaux and the Aquitaine Region.
