Covenant of Mayors Africa - 11.02.2016
To this aim, CEMR is organising a set of workshops in four African countries: Kenya, South Africa, Senegal and Cabo Verde. A first stop will take place in Cape Town (South Africa) on Friday 12 February.
Environmental noise - 04.02.2016consultation aims to collect the views of citizens and associations of citizens, local and regional governments as well all other interested stakeholders, addressing specifically the relevance, effectiveness and EU added value of the Environmental Noise Directive.
The deadline to participate is 28 March 2016.

CEMR secretary general and spokesperson on environment talk about local actions to tackle climate changeIn a video interview, CEMR secretary general, Frédéric Vallier, talks about local government action to tackle climate change, their involvement within international negociations and CEMR expectations vis-a-vis COP21.
CEMR spokesperson on environment and Councillor of Runnymede (LGA, UK), Linda Gillham, also participates in a video interview to present CEMR's commitments on climate towards 2030.

Environment - 15.07.2015European Green Leaf is a competition open to cities with population of between 20,000 and 100,000. The prize recognises local government commitment to generate green growth and to stimulate citizens' environmental awareness and involvement.
The European Green Capital award is open to cities across Europe with over 100,000 inhabitants. This prize rewards every year cities making remarkable efforts in favour of a more sustainable urbanization.
Deadline for both competitions is Monday 19 October 2015.
