Digitalisation

The European Commission has just published a call for tenders for indirect actions in the framework of the EContent Programme to stimulate the development and use of European digital content on the global networks and to promote linguistic diversity in the information society.
 

This call aims at improving access to and use of public sector information (cross-border information services based on public sector information) and at enhancing content production in a multilingual and multicultural environment (strengthening the linguistic infrastructure).
 

The budget allocated to this call by the Commission amounts to 26,5 million euros. The deadline for receipt of proposals is 14 May 2004.
