Cohesion policy

The Slovene presidency of the EU is organising a conference on the future of cohesion policy in Maribor (Slovenia), on 7 and 8 April 2008.

 

The event will focus on a range of issues including assessing the record of cohesion policy, whether its scope should be broadened or not, the role of local and regional levels, and should monitoring be strengthened or not.

 

Speakers will include the Slovene minister for Cohesion Policy Ivan Zagar; EU Commissioner for Regional Policy Danuta Hübner; representatives from the EU Parliament as well as stakesholders and experts.
