Call for proposals open to local government in the framework of the neighbourhood policy
Europeaid has published a call for proposals in the framework of the CIUDAD programme (Cooperation in Urban Development and Dialogue). The deadline for submission of concept Notes is 27 February 2009.

The overall objective of CIUDAD is to promote mutual understanding, dialogue and cooperation between local actors in the EU and in the partner countries of the neighborhood region (ENPI region). It aims to improve local and regional governments' capacities with regard to the use of good governance principles and in particular with regard to the achievement of sustainable, integrated and long-term urban development planning.

This is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes must be submitted for evaluation. Thereafter, applicants whose concept notes have been pre-selected will be invited to submit a full application form. Further to the evaluation of the full applications, an eligibility check will be performed for those which are provisionally selected. The deadline for submission of full applications will be 25 May 2009.
