The photographs must represent how urban life can affect and interact with water. The three main themes are water in urban life, water and climate change and water for health and development.
The first place prize winner will receive a prize of €1500, the second of €1000 and the third of €500. A special prize of €1000 will be awarded to the best picture taken in Shanghai. The impact, originality, aesthetics and technical excellence of the picture will be taken into account by the jury selecting the winner.
Deadline for submission of photographs is 15 July 2010.

The International Water Photo contest is now open
The International Water Photo contest, launched by the World Water Council at the occasion of the Expo 2010 Shanghai China, is now open so as to raise awareness on water in cities and urban areas across the globe.
The photographs must represent how urban life can affect and interact with water. The three main themes are water in urban life, water and climate change and water for health and development.
