Take part to the European Mobility Week (16-22 Sept)
The second yearly European Mobility Week will take place from 16 to 22 Septembre 2004.
 
This years' theme will be Safe streets for children.
Throughout that week, events will take place accross Europe, mostly organised by municipalities and organisations of local government.
 
The official launch of the Mobility Week will take place on 16 September via a conference on "Smart moves for sustainable mobility". European Commissionner for the Environment, Margot Wallström, will open the conference alongside Dutch Secretary of State for the Environment, Pieter Van Geel. London Mayor, Ken Livingstone, will also attend.
 
One of the key events of the mobility week will be the car-free day, on 22 September.
 
All local authorities are welcome to participate to the mobility week by organising relevant events. However all participants must take part to the car-free day on 22 September.
