Energy efficiency

ManagEnergy's fifth annual conference for Energy Management Agents in Europe will take place in Brussels from 7 to 8 February 2006.
 

The conference is aimed at local and regional energy management agencies in Europe. They will be given the opportunity to give feedback to the European institutions on the EU Action Plan for Energy Efficiency, and especially on the Green Paper on Energy Efficiency. Furthermore, they will get the chance to gain information on European energy policy priorities and to make contacts for further project proposals.
 

The first day of the conference (7 February) will focus on the priorities of local and regional actors in the European Action Plan and their views on the Green paper on Energy Efficiency. Representing the opinion of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) will be Pim Koegler.
 

The second day (8 February) will consist of various discussions covering promotion and financing of local initiatives, especially in exchanging good practices on energy efficiency, renewables and clean transport.
 

In addition, parallel working groups will be organised throughout the conference.
