Cities are now able to measure and track their political, economic and social well-being with the Gallup's Soul of the City programme, based on how residents view their cities performance in providing healthy living and working conditions.

The goal of this project is to help each city foster economic development and multiculturalism, and to learn how to bring more satisfaction to its residents. Gallup is able to integrate the 'Soul of the City' perception measures with statistical information collected from public sources for over 250 cities in the EU and beyond. The survey also includes a series of polls in the context of The Gallup World Poll.

 

In addition to traditional issues (city services, items of general satisfaction, etc.), Gallup also adds a great deal of emotional measurements to diagnose the structural and emotional make-up of cities: personal safety, altruism, emotional attachment...
