Sustainable territorial and local development

The fourth edition of the European Information Society Conference (EISCO) will take place on 19, 20 and 21 November 2003 in Aalborg, Denmark. This year's theme will be Integrated services in the networking society at local and regional level. It is the first time it is organised in a Scandinavian country.

The conference will include plenary sessions on several topics (Partnership, infrastructure, organisation and citizens) as well as workshops on the key-areas : e-government, e-health, e-learning, e-business, e-transport, Trust and Security). In each of these workshops, two to three relevant project cases will be analysed in view of producing policy input to the administrations and companies participating in the conference.

· Jeremy Smith, Secretary general of CEMR
· Representative of Pedro de Sampaio Nunes, Director Information Society, EC Commission
· Patrick Vanhoudt, Project Directorate, Industry and Service Department, European Investment bank
