Policy Committee meeting (Puglia, 29/30 October) : Debates on the future Constitution of Europe and on Regional policy
The Policy Committee of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions of Europe will hold its second twice-yearly meeting in Martina Franca (Puglia, Italy) on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 October 2003.
On 29 October, CEMR President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing will take part in the debate on the future Constitution of Europe from a local and regional perspective. The host of the meeting, the President of Puglia and of AICCRE, Raffaele Fitto, will also take part in the debate alongside a representative of the Italian presidency of the EU.
The following day (30 October), members of CEMR Policy Committee will engage in a debate on EU regional policy.

Note : The Policy Committee is for most purposes CEMR's main governing organ. Its comprises of political representatives of local and regional government from Europe, based on national representation, ranging from two seats for states of less than 5 million, to 6 seats for states of more than 60 million population
