Reference Framework for Sustainable Cities (RFSC)

Sustainable Development - 04.02.2014
An RFSC workshop on "open data" as a key enabler for local governments
Easy access to open data is essential to local elected representatives while setting up, monitoring and assessing policies on the ground.
It is in this context that the Reference framework for sustainable cities (RFSC) invites you to a workshop that will showcase examples of three cities - Umea (SE), Hradec Kralove (CZ) and La Rochelle (FR) - in the use of open data. The workshop is organised in partnership with the European Commission, on 17 February 2014, at the occasion of the urban forum "Cities of Tomorrow".
The RFSC
The RFSC is an online toolkit that allows a municipality or a city to ensure that all pillars of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental) are integrated in a balanced way in its policies, strategies and projects. By becoming an RFSC city, the city commits to involving all stakeholders - citizens, business sector and civil society - in the policy-making process.
When: 17 February, 2014, 10:30 to 12:15
Where: Norway House - rue Archimède 17, Brussels
Additional information and registration
