Town twinning - 25.04.2014
Have a new town twinning project in mind? That is most fitting, because the "Europe for Citizens" program is adopted
The "Europe for Citizens" program, which provides funding to town twinning projects, has officially been adopted by the Council of the EU. These projects may concern a town twinning project between two cities, or a network of twinned towns. The programme covers the period 2014-2020.
A guide to the programme is already available. It includes information on funding opportunities, application procedures and a calendar for the submission of applications. The first deadline for submission of applications is set for 4 June 2014 at 12:00 (CET/CEST, midday, Brussels time).
The budget allocated for the implementation of the programme for the period from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2020 is set at €185.468.000.
