CEMR and all our member associations are deeply saddened to hear the news of the earthquake that has hit Croatia and especially the city of Zagreb.

We express our heartfelt and deep sympathy to the Croatian County Association, the Croatian Union of Municipalities and the Croatian people in this difficult time.

This tragic event, coupled with the coronavirus crisis (COVID-19), brings additional pressure on the affected local governments and their public service mission.

Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this disaster and we hope for a quick recovery.
