UCLG World Congress - 23.07.2019
Exchanging with local leaders from Daejon, “Asia’s Silicon Valley”
The Congress of our global organisation, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), will take place from 11 to 15 November 2019. What about the next one? We know it will take place in 2022, but where will it be held? On 23 July, a delegation from the city of Daejon, South Korea, came to meet us to make the case that the next World Congress should be held in their city, which is nicknamed “Asia’s Silicon Valley”.
This was also an opportunity for CEMR to exchange with UCLG Asia-Pacific’s Secretary General, Dr. Bernadia Tjandradewi, as well as a representative from the Governors Association of Korea (GAOK), Maria Kim. -
