Climate and energy transition

CONCERTO, the Europe wide initiative aiming at promoting sustainable energy in Europe, is organising a conference on how to overcome economic, regulative and social barriers in the area of energy efficient housing, on 9 February 2009, in Brussels.

 

This event will showcase examples of projects from CONCERTO and from the Intelligent Energy Europe programme which among others aim at promoting energy efficiency in the residential sector. The presentations will focus in particular on the following challenges:

 

- Raising awareness and training

- Promoting the integrated approach

- Access to capital

- Changing behaviour

 

This event is addressed to public authorities, building professionals, large owners and financial and training institutions. It is organised in the context of the European Union Sustainable Energy Week.

 

CONCERTO also responded to the recently launched European Commission public consultation on a recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. Its position paper can be downloaded by clicking here.
