Apply for the PLATFORMAwards: the prize rewarding excellence in decentralised cooperation
This article was initially published by PLATFORMA.
PLATFORMA launched yesterday (3 July) the 2nd edition of the PLATFORMAwards at Cités Unies France “Rencontres de l’action internationale des Collectivités territoriales”. EU towns and regions must apply before 31 December if they want to win a €15,000 video to promote their development cooperation project!
The aim of the PLATFORMAwards is to reward excellence in cities and regions’ internal action. This time, the PLATFORMAwards will focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their implementation at the territorial level. The award ceremony will take place on 6 May 2020 at the CEMR Congress in Innsbruck (Austria).
Last year, Dogbo in Benin and Roeselare in Belgium received the first prize for their cooperation partnership on birth registration. Watch the video.
The 3 winners will get:
- a free entrance to the Congress of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) in Innsbruck (Austria) with the project counterpart
- a trip to Brussels to discover the EU district with the project counterpart and take part in the 2020 edition of the European Development Days (EDD)
- access to the PLATFORMA network and expertise in workshops and conferences
To make sure a maximum of cities and regions apply before 31 December 2019, local and regional governments associations are invited to disseminate the information within their networks.
