UCLG and UN Habitat invite you to participate in a survey on urban governance According to the World Bank, 180 000 people come to live in cities everyday worldwide. By 2050, 84% of the world population is expected to live in urban areas. As the world becomes increasingly urbanised, urban governance and decentralisation are placed at the heart of the debates on the future international development agenda.
This is why our global organisation, UCLG, in collaboration with UN Habitat and the research centre LSE Cities, launched a survey to assess the state of urban governance worldwide, by pursuing 3 main objectives:
