Inforegio - 13.03.2007
A facelift for EU regional policy website
Inforegio, the EU Commission's website dedicated to regional policy has been relaunched.
The new website features information and data on activities linked to EU regional policy including employment, transport or environment. According to the European Commission, Inforegio's architecture is henceforth more user-friendly, the look more modern, and most importantly it includes a wealth of new information and useful tools.
By clicking on "The means" you can for instance have access to information on the different kinds of EU funds dedicated to the regions. "In your country" allows you to see at a glance the financial amounts allocated to a region. Under the heading "Success stories" there are some 500 economic or social development projects which have been implemented in recent years with the support of the Structural Funds and the Cohesion Fund.
The website is currently available in six of the twenty-three official languages of the EU (English, French, German, Spanish, Polish, and Italian).
