Sustainable Energy Europe - 25.01.2007
Sustainable Construction - a good business? (CONCERTO conference)
CONCERTO, the Europe wide initiative aiming at promoting sustainable energy in Europe, is organising a conference on sustainable construction, in Brussels, on 1st February 2007.
The conference aims to show how the construction sector can play an active role in the protection of the environment while providing energy and money savings at the same time.
Key stakeholders from various fields of the construction sector will discuss how cities and the construction industry can re-define their approach towards construction to include environmental and energy objectives as key elements in the overall construction process. Speakers will include representatives from EU institutions, local government, the private sector and academics.
The conference is organised under the umbrella of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW). The EUSEW aims to raise the awareness of stakeholders and the general public on sustainable energy. It will take place in Brussels from 29th January until 2nd February 2007.
