Sustainable Energy Week - 03.06.2015Covenant of Mayors is organising one day session on "European cities driving the energy transition", on 17 June 2015. The conference will highlight how local governments can lead initiatives to contribute to the EU energy and climate objectives.
The first part of the session will focus on how concrete urban initiatives contribute to the EU Energy Union objectives. The second part will discuss how to involve other stakeholders working at the local level.
The registration deadline is 8 June 2015.

The Covenant of Mayors was launched in 2008 by the European Commission and it has since then been signed by more than 6 000 municipalities and regions, committed to reduce CO2 emissions by 20% by 2020.

Energy and climate - 26.11.2013The project officer will deliver CEMR’s tasks in the Covenant of Mayors’ office.
This is a 36-month project until December 2016. For the first six months of the contract, the officer will also be involved in the CEMR policy work on environment, energy and climate, in order to gain knowledge of our activities in this field and be able to make the link between our policy and project activities.
