Post 2015 - 10.07.2015UCLG) invites you to participate in the 3rd World forum on local economic development to be held in Turin, from 13 to 16 October 2015. The forum will gather local government to discuss how local economic development can contribute to implement the post-2015 UN development programme, for instance, by stimulating employment or by improving the quality of life through better local economic governance.

UCLG Africa - 12.03.2015UCLG Africa), is calling on experts in various disciplines to register in order to fulfil the following purposes:
- to create a reference database of African experts in the field of local governance for the UCLG Africa;
- to enable the UCLG Africa, when necessary and appropriate, to make direct Calls to Tender for certain works to relevant experts;
- to enable the UCLG Africa, when requested by local governments, their national associations; and development partners to provide information on available experts to support their initiatives / projects as they may demand.
Urban innovation - 29.10.2014Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation aims to motivate cities and local authorities to further promote innovation and to improve city governance. The list of European cities shortlisted includes Bristol (United Kingdom), Hamburg (Germany), Linköping (Sweden) and Eskisehir (Turkey).
The awards ceremony will take place on 28 November in Guangzhou (China).
