Victory: EU Parliament rejects costly public building renovation requirement Great news: on 17 January, the European Parliament finally rejected a requirement* that would have made it binding for local governments to renovate 3% of all their public buildings every year. CEMR and its members had contacted Members of the European Parliament to urge them to reject this requirement, and we are very happy to see that they heard local government’s voice.
